Was reading the newspaper few days ago when I saw a picture of this Shanghai dish called Stir-fried Asparagus, Bamboo Shoots and Bacon. It was a promotion by the Paradise Dynasty under the Paradise Group. The dish looked good and so decided to try it out this weekend. I didn't have any recipe and so searched the Internet for one or something similar.
Managed to find something similar and did some modifications since I didn't want to buy bacon and didn't want to make too big a portion.
Can't comment on whether the taste is same or similar because I have never tried the original dish from Paradise Dynasty, I can only say that the dish is still edible. Lol.
Look-wise, perhaps I should not use light soya sauce or use less of it so that the bamboo shoots will still retain its bright color. Also maybe I should have used bacon instead of beef because beef could have darken the color of the dish as well.
Anyway, shall try again sometime soon and hopefully get something closer to the original dish.
